Damon Green at Fat Cat Gallery
Singer-songwriter Damon Groen, a native of rural Minnesota’s corn-lined backroads, brings his heartfelt sound to this year’s Holiday Wine Walk on December 13. Now based in Chicago, Groen’s music is shaped by the quiet rhythms of his upbringing and the deep role family has played in his artistic life—whether singing hymns beside his mother in church or belting pop songs with his siblings.
During his college years, The Back Back in Sioux Center became his musical refuge, and today he continues to build community through performance—whether at neighborhood karaoke nights or through The Garden Chi, an arts collective dedicated to uplifting creatives across the city. Groen says he is driven by a belief that “the beauty of life can be found in any moment by slowing down and noticing,” a perspective he strives to share through his lyrics and performances.
Damon Groen will perform during the Holiday Wine Walk on Thursday, December 13, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees can expect an intimate, reflective set shaped by storytelling, connection, and the warmth of the season.
