The legendary Shadow Puppet work of Tia Etu

is returning to the Oak Park Arts District.

On October 31st, 2025

at 5:30 and 6:30

Tia Jones-Etu is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago whose international art studies and teaching experience reflect her commitment to enhancing human behavior and experience through creative expression. Her puppets have not performed in 20 years so this is a re-entry into the art of puppeteering.

Join us for Saturday with Santa, a fun-filled day featuring Pictures with Santa and Toy Drive, Letters to Santa and Craft,  Candy Cane Walk, Face Painting, Local Art Vendors, Food and Drink Specials and more! Plus the Toddlin’ Around Town Scavenger Hunt along Harrison!

Immerse yourself in the 19th century architecture of the Pleasant Home decked out for the holidays, while viewing vignettes from the Nutcracker! Children will be invited to learn parts of the ballet. Nov 22 11 AM and 2PM. $20. Children five and under $10. Reserve tickets recommended.

Dye hard yarns

Located at 17 Harrison St. Dye Hard Yarns is a small boutique yarn shop and community dye studio in the heart of the Oak Park Arts District. Featuring hand dyed yarns, natural fibers, knitting and crochet supplies and much more, Dye Hard Yarns is your source for fiber arts supplies, classes, and workshops.
