In 2008 a group of several of the creative businesses in the Oak Park Arts District united to establish the first Children’s Art Camp in the Oak Park Arts District.  When you enroll your child in the Arts District Camp Program you give your child the opportunity to expand their art skills with professional artists through dance and movement, mixed-media, glasswork, beading, painting, music and performance, culinary arts, fiber arts, yoga, print-making, creative writing, and more.  Through out each day of our camp programs the children rotate between a variety of studio, galleries and creative businesses for a fun and creative experience.

Currently the Art Camp Program consists of many year-round offerings. During each summer we offer several camp options.   A Two-Week Art Camp for children ages 5 to 11 years is offered each summer in both June and again in August.  You can register for one or both of these camps!  In July we offer unique Intensive Art Camp opportunities.  These camps give students of all ages the chance to experience a longer period of time with a specific art medium or technique with one or two studio businesses.  We are also offering Apprenticeship Camps created specifically for kids ages 10 years and up!  These camps offer older students the opportunity to continue their art education with the professional artists in the Arts District.  One week camps based upon a specific theme or discipline will rotate students through a variety of studios for a more advanced creative experience.

During the regular school year, from September through May we offer our No School Day! Art Programs.  When Oak Park District 97 schools have a day off for holidays or conferences, we offer a day of creativity with our artist instructors.

In addition, we offer a Winter Break Art Camp during the break in December/ January.   For a few days we have a mini-version of our Summer Camp program and provide a wide variety of art experiences packed into just a few days!!!
