Micro World into Macro Painting Workshop

Bright Olive Gallery, 27 Harrison St.
Saturday, October 9, 2010  1:30-4:30 PM
This 3 hour course is so exciting and therapeutic at the same time! I have been focusing on this type of work for the last year and have had amazing results since day one.  What I will show you is the exciting structure of the cellular plant world and show you how I have turned that into large paintings. Cells have structure, intuitive paintings do not.  The crossover from the logical mind to the subconscious is easier than you think.  I will guide you in the process by viewing cellular structure, showing you the way to transform that into a very intuitive form of painting and provide materials and techniques to make a piece you can be proud to take home!  Science and art are my two passions and not something generally combined.  You will find the combination lends to artwork you never thought you could do.  Think recent Cy Twombly…
