“Shop the Village” is back in Oak Park!  This year, organizers outfitted a character “Super Shopper Spotter,” in a customized super-hero costume, complete with bright red cape, mask and boots. With the letter “S” in triplicate across his chest and on his cape, he swoops into businesses and catches individuals in the act of purchasing and awards them a $25 gift certificate.

Three Arts District shoppers were rewarded last weekend at Prodigy Glassworks, Val’s halla and Buzz Café.

The program will last for four weeks, through Thursday, Dec. 24. Sponsors include the Village of Oak Park, Wednesday Journal of Oak Park and River Forest, Oak Leaves and the various business districts throughout the community.
