Celebrate the last days of summer with Oak Park Arts District this Friday, August, 21, from 6-9 PM.  Join us for our Third Friday Gallery Walk, when we keep our doors open late so you can join our art party on Harrison Street in the 9 blocks west of Austin.  Enjoy dinner and then wander the street for art and music.  Below is a sampling of events.

17 HARRISON - Harrison Works - Throw out the first pitch at the opening of Harrison Works’ annual baseball show.  The gallery will be open from 6- 10pm

19 HARRISON - Art Gecko, Ltd. - Join us for “THE END”:  a mail art exhibit commemorating the 40th anniversary of the breakup of The Beatles. This Beatles-themed group show includes generously donated work sent through the postal system and will be on display as a silent auction through 9/18.  All proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Animal Care League of Oak Park.

21 HARRISON - Ridge Art - Browse an outstanding collection of Haitian and folk art.  Check out the 20% off sale on Haitian metal sculpture during this weekend only!  In addition to Friday night, the gallery is open on Saturday 12-5 PM, and Sunday 1-5 PM.  

27G HARRISON - Studio Light - See some of the kids’ artwork from Art Camp!  They pâpier-maché masks and were inspired by animals in their decoration.  View these masks and Truthseeker paintings, posters, and postcards while enjoying wine and snacks.
