FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2009 —-  7:00 P.M.

GILMARY DOYLE-ANDREWS & her GROOVY GUYS BAND

Gil lives in Oak Park and probably is known by many of you as a Chicago-based actress.  Now she finally has been cajoled and persuaded to lay down her first CD of original tunes.  Not only does she have a dynamite voice, but her songwriting is literate, touching and distinct.

Rich Warren played a couple of songs from the CD last Saturday night on the Midnight Special and even made it his “pick of the week”. And that back up band?  None other than Don Stiernberg on mandolin and vocals, Mark Furlong on bass and Mark “Mr. Ramova” Doyle on accompanying guitar and vocals.

The event comes with light refreshments - and it’s FREE.

The Val’s halla stage will be rockin’.  Don’t miss out!
