Dine Oak Park!

Submitted by libbey_paul on Friday, 1 May 2009

Check out the new DineOakPark.com website for great May deals at local restaurants, including our own Buzz Cafe, Trattoria 225 and Briejo.  Want free dinner for your kids? How about a dessert on the house? Or that second wood-fired pizza?

From the DineOakPark.com website:

“May is Restaurant Month in Oak Park. Overachievers that we are here, we couldn’t have just Restaurant Week like they do in the city. And with the village’s diversity in dining establishments, we couldn’t have just one overall deal. In this uniquely Oak Park program, you get four weeks to check out individual deals at 24 participating businesses.

From larger places with table service to smaller spots with counter service to a business that’s all take-home, delivery and catering, this program shows your range of options if you want to skip a night of cooking at home. You’ll find the deals at DineOakPark.com, a new dining Web site built by Wednesday Journal in cooperation with Oak Park’s Shop the Village program.

Two-for-one pizzas at Trattoria 225 to two-for-one entrees at Wishbone lead the list of deals.

A detailed page for each participating business will go live at DineOakPark.com on Friday, May 1. Each page will have at least one coupon announcing the current deal. Some deals will be the same all month. Others will change every week. Most deals will be for Sunday through Thursday visits.

Alongside the coupon for each business, you’ll also get a roundup of all its menus, a slideshow about what makes it different, and background information that Wednesday Journal reporters and editors have found about each place’s connection to the community.

So plan on rediscovering your favorite spots or strolling into places you’ve been meaning to check out. And do that all with new knowledge and a coupon.”
